CYCD awarded the Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Project Award
CYCD – Women into Learning Project awarded the Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Project Award 2010/2011 in recognition of CYCD’s achievement and success. The Award was presented by the Learning Partnership Bedfordshire & Luton LTD.
CYCD delivered seven FREE taster sessions for women aged 19 years plus, who are not in education but have an interest to go into education.
The Taster Sessions included:-
- Childcare (2 Sessions)
- Beauty & Holistic Therapy
- Hairdressing
- Learning Support Assistant
- Initial Teacher Training
- Sewing and Textiles – Lavender Bags
A total 74 women attended and completed the one day taster sessions. All taster sessions were delivered by the Barnfield College at CYCD. All sessions were all attended & the programme was funded by the Learning Partnership, Bedfordshire & Luton LTD and Skills Funding Agency.
