Little Stars Pre-school Success Underlines CYCD Outlook
The recent Ofsted inspection success of the Little Stars Pre-school has re-affirmed the values which lie at the core of the work of the Centre for Youth and Community Development (CYCD).
It was the ‘Outstanding’ award from Ofsted inspectorate which has clearly underlined the work going on within the Centre.
The report states that there were “excellent observations of children’s individual achievements and individual tailored challenges enable children to make outstanding progress towards the early years learning goals. The children enjoy their time at this welcoming pre-school.”
“Staff ensures that parents are fully informed about what their children are doing and are effective in sharing information about their needs and routines. The manager and staff are highly motivated and have a positive approach to self-evaluation.”
“They have established detailed systems to support the continues review of their work, enabling them to priories areas for improvements and offer a service, which is fully inclusive of the needs of all its users”
Mir Juma, the CYCD Director, said “the Ofsted report is just one of our many successes and we are all very pleased by it. It is a small but very significant part of what goes on here.”
“There is tremendous amount of potential in the CYCD primarily because of the growing needs of the local community. But as for the Little Stars Pre-school, we are all immensely proud.”
